Curators Without Borders: asylum seekers and foreign workers as heritage interpreters is a participatory programme that supports people with migrant and refugee experience and enables them to become guides through local themes of heritage, identity and belonging.
Through workshops, mentoring sessions and public presentations, participants will develop their own interpretations of the city, heritage, identity and everyday life in Zagreb, in dialogue with the local community and cultural institutions.
In the 2026 pilot phase, the Centre cooperates with the Zagreb City Museum and the Nikola Tesla Technical Museum, as well as with organisations working with refugees, migrants, foreign workers and asylum seekers.
Open call
The programme is open to people with migrant or refugee experience, applicants for international protection, foreign workers and students. Participation is limited to 12 people. Applications are open until 3 June 2026.
